I don't know about the A4, but my 5KT has two sets of jack points: four
rubber jack points under the floor pan and four points under the rocker
panels for using with factory wheel jack. I usually lift the car using the
rubber points under the floor pan and then put the jack stands under the
rocker panel ones. This has worked for me so far.
