    Actually, Scirocco 8v's are really unimpressive. Like 0-60 in 11 seconds or
so.
    16v's are like 7.7 sec.
    However...
    People modify them ALL the time, to great levels of performance. G-60's,
just plain old built up 2.0L 16v's, even a few VR6 Sciroccos exist out there.
There is even one (although not street legal) turbo I-5 quattro Scirocco in
existence. It ran last year at Mt. Washington. Sciroccos are light (somewhere
in the 2300lb range, stock), so when you get a 200bhp Scirocco (like a
well-built 2.0L 16v) you have a seriously fast car, at low speeds. I personally
have never owned a Scirocco that would do 0-60 faster than about 8 seconds, but
I don't have the money to play around.
