No.  For the 4KQ, Audi simply made a nomenclature change.  85 and
before it was known as a 4000S quattro.  86 and 87s were 4000CS quattro.
There were indeed minor trim changes from year to year, but it is not related
to the S or CS.  This is also the case for the 5K turbo cars. 85 and
before it was 5000S turbo and 86+ were 5000CS turbo.

Now, this is not to be confused with the non-Q 4K and 5Ks.  In 1986
there were 4000CS and 5000CS models (separate from the standard 4000S
and 5000S).  These were special edition cars that celebrated the 100 years
of automotive history (the automobile was invented by Gottlieb Daimler and
Karl Benz in 1886).
