The Disrupter Beam Reality

Hello,

    About the disrupter beam.  There was a special about the disrupter beam
and other non lethal weapons designed to be used first instead of a bullet.
I remember bragging about that to a bartender two summers ago one day and
then the car across the street would not start.  Coincidence?  There was a
demonstration (and I have it on video) from Discovery or 60 Minutes about
Non Lethality including a running car in an open area with the hood open and
a machine next to it that shut the car down.  I don't know but for sure the
zap on a lead kind works if the target is reached.  The original owners of
the Audi 4000 CS Quattro were also part of the t. v. special.  Remembering
that special now seems like remembering a big commercial.  Private donation
funding is most likely why too.
