You'll have a blast. The value of this kind of event is more or less in inverse
proportion to your experience level since you are paying for support and
instruction. I think it's an excellent introduction, particularly since the
QCUSA
and the other participants speak quattro. Many experienced enthusiasts
return year after year just for the Audi camaraderie or because they
enjoy making contributions themselves by becoming instructors, etc.
On the other hand, if you look around, you can find less expensive ways
to get track time. For example, run with local car clubs. This can amount
to just a bunch of guys running around the track for a while and isn't the
best way to start, IMHO. Some QCUSA regional clubs also run less formal
track days for experienced members at lower cost.

Make sure your brakes, tires and cooling system are in A-1 condition. Bring
extra coolant and maybe a set of spare front brake pads to put on after you
toast
the ones you come with. With an older car, expect some maintenance fallout
over the month or two following the event. Track time always seems to take
a little toll. It's the no-free-lunch rule in action. New car owners get to
pretend
that track time doesn't effect their rides because the wear and tear often
doesn't
show up for quite a while.

But do it! Have fun. It's worth it.
