Help! A6QW won't shift from Park

Hi Everyone, 
My 1995 A6 Quattro Wagon doesn't shift from Park.  It's stuck in the
parking garage at work.  Is there some safety catch that isn't working? 
The brake pedal can be depressed and the steering wheel turns OK.  The gear
indicator in the dash lights up (P)ark and isn't in "default" mode with
everything lit up.    The car has 72,000 miles and fortunately should still
be under warranty.  Is this the first sign that I need a new transmission? 

How do I get it towed to the Audi dealer?  Will a flat-bed work and do they
drag the whole car with the four wheels locked up onto the flat-bed?
