when i lowered my 86 tqw i used all stock settings except for camber.
i set the rear camber to the minimum suggested (-0.5)
and set the fronts as far negative as they would go (< -0.5)
i had to slot one of the front plates to get them both to -0.7
make sure all other setting are AT the nominal value and exactly the same
left-to-right.
if the tech tells you it is "good enough" since it is within spec, offer to
pay by the hour until he gets it "right".
if he has any pride left he will do it right and by the book.
if not, run away and don't come back.

also, when i switched to the fuchs, the small increase in width caused a
perceptible increase in wander.
i just pulled a steering dampener out of a 100ls wagon that i am going to try.
(thanks for the suggestion, sjm!)
