It's a normal right-hand thread, although it takes about two full turns
before it starts to come loose.
The hole in the housing is almost at the 90 degree position. The crank
has to be backed off from the TDC position about 30 degrees. Then you
break the crank bolt, and return it to TDC before finally unscrewing
it.
