Urq - a few questions
Last year I re bushed all the front end of the Urq, apart from the
ends of the
anti roll bar where the drag links connect. I bought the bushes but
even
though they have the same part # embossed into them, they look far too
small for the job.
The new bushes have a square cut out around the outside where they
would
fit inside the anti roll bar. This cut out is around 2mil wide whereas
the anti
roll bar is closer to 6mil thick with a rounded inside edge where it
meets the
bush.
Does anyone know if this is normal, As one of the old ones is now
dead.
Whist on the subject of suspension, The time has now come for new
shockers & probably new springs, As my urq sits lower at the rear.
I thought I'd go for Bilstiens or Koni's ?, Dont know about the
springs,
any suggestions / prefferances from satisfied users ?.
Also on the Shocks subject, Where can I buy, hire or borrow the
tool(s)
for the strut top nuts in the UK ?, but not at silly VW prices.
Finally, Saw 2 good Urq's recently, a G reg Pearlesant White one in
the
centre of Newcastle (UK), It was the afternoon of Friday 12th Feb, The
Car pulled up opposite the Blackie Boy PH, The driver got out wandered
about a bit then got back in and drove off.
Today in Settle, North Yorkshire (UK) I spotted a nice Mars Red Urq on
an A plate parked on the main road through the Town.
Do these belong to Lister's ?.
