Rather than replay your entire message, i'll agree, but append. I have
an 86 4kcstq, and yes there is a plastic piece that operates 2
switches. One is for high speed, and has a screw that can be used to
adjust when the arm operates the switch. Mine went out of adjustment
once, same problem, the other switch is for motor shut off, to turn off
the motor when the roof gets to the closed position, or either open
position. All bets are off for different years, as i found out at my
friend Bob's house recently though. . .
