RE: Insurance

Thanks so much for the tip.  I will check into it.  My initial information
came from the Porsche list when a thread about insurance went around a
couple of months ago.  The thread went on for a while and there were
several, "I've been with Amica for twenty years and never had a claim
problem, they're the best kept secret in insurance."  At the same time there
was never a negative post, and there are so many people on the Porschelist
you usually get some good and some negative and you have to weigh the sides.
Supposedly they wouldn't even insure you unless you had a good record and
someone referred you.  I don't know if that's true or not, but I have a good
record and they did ask who referred me and I gave them the name of one of
the guys on the Porsche list that gave me some details about his experiences
with them.  Armed with these positive experiences and the fact that their
quote was half, yes half what I was paying, I switched to them.  I don't say
this to invalidate your comments at all, I'm just saying this is the basis
for my recommendations.  I personally haven't really been with them long
enough to have a bad experience.  However, armed with your information I
shall do a bit more digging.
