definitely worth rebuilding!
the set of 4 (turbo oil supply/return and oil cooler supply/return) will
probably run close to $$$$ with tax at the dealer.
the ones on my euro 86 tqw (kg engine, built 1/86) and on my us fiche 
(mc,86-88) enter together at the top near the outer edge.
must be a two pass.
the one i recently saw on an 86 5ktq (mc, built 3/86) looked like a one pass.
one hose ran to the lower inside.
while i didn't look closely at the other, it was headed in the "normal"
direction...
