Injector cooling fan



Does the injector cooling fan (10V turbo) run only as an after-run to 
prevent hot-start problems or does it sometimes run while the engine is 
running?  Also, why doesn't the 20V turbo need one?  I'm thinking better 
location of the injectors (i.e. not on the same side as the exhaust 
manifold) and being fuel-rail injection, less chance of vaporizing the 
fuel inside (more fuel, larger line) and also farther away from the 
turbo/exhaust heat.  Right?
