Speaking of which - my (ARGHH - VW!) Passat uses the same head (different
cam, that's all) as my ur-quattro.  Does this mean I can't talk about
head problems if I get them on the Passat, but I can if they occur on
the MB?

Like I say, I don't mind ASCII.  The effort to type it limits how much
people send automatically.  I don't like picture, especially unsolicited
ones, and even more especially unsolicited pictures of cars I'm already
extremely familiar with.
