Per the Bentley, the vacuum pump running for over 5 seconds indicates a
leak somewhere in the central locking system. If it was sitting for a while
when it wouldn't unlock on the first couple tries, this also could be
normal- if not, the combination of this and the long-running vacuum pump
would indicate a leak.

For the 100/S4's, this is normal behavior. It's a security feature to keep
someone from getting in the other doors. If you unlock the car with the
remote, they all open. With the key, normal turn, just the one door. If you
hold the key turned to the unlock position, they'll all unlock.
