That depends on how much heat the pads transfer into the caliper.By "going into
the dumper" do you mean loose friction or boil the fluid, since most of the time
fade is just loss of braking power due to boiling fluid.
Have you confirmed that it was not the boiling fluid but the pads loss of
friction?
Could have great coeficient of friction but if it transfers a lot of heat than it
will boil the fluid regardless.
