Sorry I'm late with this. I had to get a new front road spring for my 87 KV
engined (2226cc) coupe quattro a couple of weeks ago. It broke somehow.
Now, I can't tell you whether it is the same as your 80Q and I didn't get
the part number. I can tell you there doesn't appear to be a third party
equivalent; it is identified by one green paint mark and the original part
has just dropped in price. I was told that there were only three in the
country (UK) and that the price had just been reduced from GBP 69 to GBP
39, presumably as part of the general reduction in prices for VW spares pre
1991. A pleasant surprise.
Not sure whether you have fitted third party springs or not or even wanted
original parts, but my advice to anyone with an older Audi in the UK is to
try the dealer first for parts (not service though) in case there has been
a general reduction in prices.
