that front end clunk

that I keep whining about whenever anyone else mentions a similar
problem seems to have gone away. The fix, if it was, was while I was,
um, replacing a "lost" caliper guide pin bolt I went at the suspension
bolts to make sure they were all tight. I was able to tighten the
control arm bolts (thru the bushings) about maybe 1/2 turn each (I have
the old rubber outer style, so they can be tightened in the air). I
haven't been able to duplicate the little clunk since then (a few
days). It used to occur at the very last moment of certain types of
stopping while turning operations, and then again at take off (reversing
itself?), if it had clunked when stopping.

I don't miss it.
