87 CGT Some Help please

I got to drive in another coupe GT today, completly the same except for the
color. Well I noticed that his engine had a little more pep to it and
sounded just cleaner, what kind of things contribute to less horsepower and
things like that (I know its pretty broad but anything will help). Also I
noticed a clinking sound comming from the engine today, it is always there
and the speed of the clinking is directly related to the RPMs of the car,
what kinds of things do that??

Also if anyone knows where I could get a decent price on a Bently manual for
this car please let me know..
