86 5kcstq warm start prob - final solution

Fellow followers of the list,

I'd posted a few weeks back re: a warm start prob w/ my 86csq, in which
I'd been told by dealer svc that I had no spark and that problem was
hall sender in distributor.

My thanks to Phil P., Steven B., Orin E., and Daniel H. for responding
directly, and to those others who'd posted.

Got another distributor from Shokan, installed, and problem remained. I
confirmed with dealer svc tech that he _had_ read fault code from ECU
indicating Hall sender. After some discussion with technician (he's a
friend) re: 86 Diagnostics and what that particular code indicated, it
was decided to check both Hall sender and Flywheel senders on a scope.
Low and behold, bad sender at the flywheel.

Sender was replaced with a spare used unit (at no charge...) and problem
solved.

Heads up on this. I know it's probably a rarity, but it sure had me
fooled. Acted just like a vapor lock.

Regards,
