Hi Wayne,
This may not be applicable to your A4 but in my V8 4 years ago I had a
Motorola 550 flip phone installed with a in-car transceiver.
This gave me 3 watts in the car with handsfree operation, .9 watts when I
took the phone out of the car.
This way I had 1 phone number.
Cost was about $500.- for all the equipment including installation.
I got it for free though because I showed BellAtlantic a years worth
of cell bills that ranged from 200-500 per month. company paid of course...
The angle being you want my money every month ? give me the equipment for free.
I dropped of the bills and they called me in hour wanting to schedule the
install :-)
