I dont know what this means, but white light destroys the chemicals in 
your eyes that build up in the darkness to adapt for the lower level of 
light.  Any exposure to white light will destroy those chemicals...

Dont you know what happens when you look into the headlights of oncoming 
cars?  YOu are blind for a few seconds until your eye generates more of 
those chemicals....

at least that is wat i remember from biology
