Transaxle code numbers - 5kq

I am in need of some guidance on type codes for the transaxle and rear
differential for the 85-88 100/200/5000 cars. Documentation for my 5kcstq
shows a 35:9 final drive ratio and the trans/diff codes are AES and AET
respectively. These codes are shown in the fiche and on the chassis
configuration sticker on the inside of the trunk lid. Please consider the
following questions.

 a. Are these codes stamped onto the units themselves as the fiche notes
suggest? If so where? I had no luck crawling around under the car with a
flashlight.
 b. What codes are shown for the non-turbo quattro chassis? Could someone
with that fiche please have a look at the codes and listed ratio?
 c. Do the codes FJC and KTS provide difinitive identification? These were
found on a 1986 5000q trans and diff which, I am assuming, have a 37:9 final
ratio. I would have predicted AGD and AAT for that ratio.
