1.5 bar cutout on unchipped 5kcstq

Today I drove to work (an unusual event) and as I was accelerating onto
the highway at WOT, I saw the pressure gauge gradually rise to 1.4 bar
and then on to 1.5 bar, much to my surprise. Then there was a brief
hiccup, which must have been the fuel pump cutout at 1.5 bar.

I don't spend a whole lot of time at WOT, but I haven't had this happen
before. The ECU and wastegate spring are stock. What would cause this
overboost condition? Thanks.
