I don't know what the difference is between the different colored
Meguires bottles--it's supposed to be "quality" I imagine (tan being for
pros); also there's more choices of products in the tan bottles.

I would buy the cheapest, frankly.  I'm not convinced there's THAT much
difference in car care products.  Even in the many articles I've read by
detailing & paint professionals, they conflict in what should be used.

As far as your question on polish used instead of wax, here's the rule
of thumb: 3 steps, first clean the paint, then polish to produce the
glimmer, then wax to protect.  So I assume it's simply a wax & polish in
one, read the bottles.  I tend to stay away from those magic products
however--just supersticious I guess.
