when i swapped my rack at some point I had the car in the air, no coil
wire, filled the reservoir and cranked the engine a couple times.
refilled reservoir, repeated until about a liter of pentosin was mixed
in with crankcase oil in the bucket below.  what was running out was
clean and green... and I didn;t run the pump dry.  In fact, to be
certain, when the rack was in i hooked up the pressure side and flushed
it through too.
