Racks, ooops...
Heya!
It's been a bit of an eventful few weeks - had a bit of a bump with my
car a week ago - looks like it'll be at least the entire right rear
quarter panel, and there's bits buckled all over (OTOH, she's still driving
and handling well, which is a relief!).
...in other questions - I've just put a set of Yakima racks on her (and
yes, the bars *are* more than 18" apart ;>), and it the process of
removing the 'plugs', managed to break all but one of them, as well as
scratch the plastic/metal around them a bit.
Is there some special technique to removing them? (For that matter, is
there somewhere to get replacements?)
Also, it seems that there's a fair bit of space around the rack feet, and
I'd like to be able to fill that in, to avoid filling the cavities with
water. Any suggestions?
cheers!
