Re: rust flakes in fuel tank

Hi Paul:

Radiator shops can hot tank the unit for you, followed by an application
of a sealant to the insides of the tank. If you want to try to clean up
yourself, an old trick in my mispent motorcylce riding youth was to fill
the tank with sand and water, and swish away, cleaned out the rust very
well. I would still recommend a tank sealant application afterwards, as
there may be pinholes just waiting to "breath free" once you get rid of
the rust.

BCNU,
