Roadmap to Understanding Audi

I've only been a list member for a few months and my '89 200 is my first
Audi so there are many Audi references that I don't understand - such as
UFO, for instance.  Also, I don't understand the fundamental differences
between the many models and engines offered.  How are the S-series
different from the 100, 200, 80, 90, etc cars?  I looked in the Quattro
archives and noted that Alasdair Mackintosh proposed a FAQ and provided
a format that looked in part like this:

I don't find further mention of a FAQ.  Is there a web location that
explains the nuances of this marque?
