The cap and threads are of a "taper" design, where the more you tighten,
the tighter the threads hold.  In line with "pipe-threads"  If properly
torqued to specs or beyond, I cannot see a nut coming lose!  I doubt if Audi
has ever had one come lose.(properly torqued)  I know of many instances of
caps unable to be removed because they cannot be broken lose!  Especially
when corroded!


The Bilstein caps have a special spanner, and are torqued more than the OEM
cap!
Thicker, and more "robust" in designas well!
