I used to drive a Citroen BX as a company car (that's partly why I left).
It had hydro-pneumatic suspension which made for a sickening, wallowy ride
but amazing speeds over speed bumps. There are a couple of speed bumps here
in Zeist my Audi (90q, stock ride height, and I'd say the speed bumps are
about 40cm high) can't take with anything over 10 mph- the BX managed no
less than 40 one day (which gave me a bit of a headache). Mind you, the
hydraulics were fixed every time it went in for a service... ;-) I
constantly imagined the hydraulic 'spheres' being launched through the
hood.
All in all- for the thrashing I gave it, it didn't do that badly though.
