RE: Mirror Switch

... it could be the switch or it could be a badly lacerated wiring loom in
the driver's door. I realize that they are somewhat different, but in my
qtc I have found that the switch that selects between the left and right
mirror is usually the culprit ... I've never had to mess with the direction
switch ... or the wiring or the mirrors. One thing that is true of the ur-q
is that the circuit that drives the solenoids that switch from L-R to
Up-Down mode are always powered, so even if the mirror doesn't move I can
hear the solenoids click in when I move the direction switch. This is a
sure sign that it is time to get out the DeoxIt.

YMMV of course ... Good luck!
