... you are correct ... if there is no way to wire in the wear sensor from
the new pads (or if they don't have a wear sensor) my solution has been to
cut the wiring from a set of spent pads and then short the ends of the wires
together.  This way you can keep the connector on the car's wiring loom from
getting contaminated and have a set of wires you could use in the future to
adapt new wear sensors should you decide to do that ...
