Re: poor manners...
This person's behaviour is a new thing. When I left the "mother list" at the
end of last summer (too many emails, too little time), it was comprised of
knowledgeable and tolerant people. What has happened to it is anyone's
guess. I don't give a rats arse how many Coupe quattro's someone has sold (I
for one would be leary of the source of these fairly rare cars), and I seem
to remember some of those CQ's that were for sale. From the descriptions
that I remember, they were not in perfect shape. With my car approaching
110k miles, a purchase price of $7300 plus over $11k in upgrades, updates,
and fixes to it (brakes, suspension, exterior, mechanicals, exhaust, 2x sets
of 16" rims/tires, stereo), I do not expect to get my investment out of it.
If I were to actually sell the beast, I wouldn't ask anything less than $15k
for it. The whole point of asking prices is to have a starting point for
negotiations. Apparently, this person does not understand that. I wouldn't
let some imbecile get a rise out of you. They're not worth your precious
time.
