Re: Melted Mess

Craig:

I'd let it cool and carefully scape or pick off as much wax as possible
without getting to the surface of the leather.

Then with an iron at low heat and several thicknesses of paper towels,
put p towels on the remaining wax and heat gently with iron. The wax
will wick into the paper towels.

You need to change the paper towels OFTEN and repeat until you are
satisfied with the level of wax removal.

This method has worked before on crayons melted into a carpet (don't
ask), so I would think it would work on leather as well... Key things
are adjusting the heat so as not to damage the surface and changing
towels frequently. Patience helps, go slow.
