more euro lights - and a cooling fan question

Lovely - not.
BTW, can anyone, maybe from the UK, confirm the story that original labels were
started when British industry demanded that typically inferior products from
Germany
were marked as such (in the 19th century, that is)?
5000S question: I noticed the cooling fan not running due to fried low-speed
resistors
being discussed a bit recently; it suddenly occured to me that the fan in my
bucket
only comes on at one speed (full tilt, I assume), when the temp needle is
vertical.
When should it run how? -what about when the A/C is switched on?
thanks,
