thanks for v-8 replys

Thanks for all the responses on the V-8.  It turned out that it fell far
short of being the perfect car the owner described on the phone.  A/C
compressor would not engage, broken trim parts inside and out,  and pentsion
leaks.  My wife loved the body style though so it looks like one will
becoming home soon.

It seemed to shift a little funny from first to second.  Is this normal or
is it a sign of the transmission going out.  Also there seemed to be a
slight shutter in the drive train, normal or bad transmission?
