Hi:

The 20V non-turbo engine has a bore of 82,5mm and a stroke of 86mm, while the 10V, 10V turbo
and 20V turbo engines all have an 81mm bore and 86mm stroke. I haven't checked both heads side
by side, but perhaps the valves on the 20V NA engine would hit the sides of the block. The
difference in bore might also explain the different endings.

BTW, the 16V VW engine also uses an 82,5 bore.
