RE: Auto tranny theory



With the experience I have with automatic transmissions,my first target
to check would be the filter,especially the gasket between the filter
and the tranny.When the filter gets dirty,the oil pump creates a vacuum
into the oil passage and the filter gasket starts to leak.
If the filter is OK,the tranny should be inspected by someone  who owns
a line-pressure gauge.After the car has stopped operating,the
line-pressure should be measured and if it is what it should be,the
problem is either in the converter or in some of the clutches. 

I try to find the power flow diagram of this tranny somewhere.(I have
just moved and my company is just moving.I know I have it but no idea
whatever,where.)

P.S  When the car stops running,is there any noise from the transmission?
