RE: 5K Boost at 7000'



Yeah, the 5ktq is very slow off the line at this altitude. I've never driven
this car at less than 5000ft, so can't attest to the difference. The K24
conversion (on Chad's car) really helps spool-up and off-the-line
performance.

But, even the S4 is impacted at this altitude. A friend who owns a stock S4
in N.Carolina drove a chipped one here and thought it had less low end power
than his.

Nope, even the 5KTQ had the altitude sensor.  The later models might have
been able to do more, but the boost will definately be limited at higher
altitudes.

My car was VERY sluggish at high altitudes.  Well, off the line.  Turbo
helps though, but only above 3500 rpms.
