Regarding bandwidth and personal replies

	I have posed a question or two recently to the list, and have 
recieved over a dozen private emails for each, when one reply to the list 
would have answered the question for me, and anyone else who would be 
interested to know.  What is the consensus, if we see a post initially 
(before it has been already responded too) would it not be a good idea to 
just reply to the list so others will know it has already been answered?
