oil & oilfilters

We have just talk't about filters
- too late
I got new oil-filter Saturday - and it is a Fram - worst brand according to
all papers, I now have read.
My mecanics also poured Mobil 1 into the engine, what I have asked him for
but I had expected 5-40. He uses 0-40 and now the question:

Next day after the oil change the cars got rough idling and dies when warm.

Can that be a coincident or is it because the lifters believe they're now
fast
bleeding lifters at idle - and don't bother lift at all ?
