Guaranteed not the oil, seen it used in the Great White North in temps
from -60 to +90F with no problems. Maybe they loosened a vacuum line, left a
cap loose, dipstick out? Perhaps other failed vacuum line, they are not
uncommon. Could even be totally unrelated.
