86 4kcsq rear brakes.

Well, I finally heard the grinding noise meaning the end of my rear brakes.
I disassembled the brakes and discovered only one bad pad, and a stuck
guide pin. I turned the rotors, and fixed the guide pins. Now the
problem: I was anticipating cutting a Sealy cube in half (already had one
from previous vehicles) but saw a worn out hole in the center of the caiper
piston. I remembered from a post a couple of days ago that a 12 mm inside
hex socket was required. So I picked one up when I went to get the brake
pads. It seems like it wants to fit, but just turns inside the hole
without spinning the piston. Any suggestions?

I thought the calipers for my Isuzu truck were made of 24K gold, but I now
realize they were only gold plated, while the Audi calipers are actually of
24K gold. I really don't want to have to buy new ones.
