 You can make the test harness by going to the bone yard and cutting a
two contact male and female plug from any harness. Then you 
connect the #1 wire on the "male" plug to #1 wire on the "female"
plug.Do the same for the other wire. Insert a piece of wire into each
splice and terminate it with a terminal you can attach your VOM to.Label
the #1 and #2. It's basically an inline test point  allowing the part to
operate as you take the readings.

You might as well make the other one for the air damper potentiometer.
Same deal only three wire connectors.

While you are at it,get a extra female two pin connector and solder a
15k ohm resistor to the leads. That's all you need for the temperature
sender test load.
