My issues of EC usually come unscathed, so damage isn't universal.
Last year EC used to have this weird split front cover with an ad
inside for many months and they would ship them in a plastic bag.
While the bag protects the magazine I thought that it just adds more
trash.  Also, the split cover was annoying and I am glad they stopped
doing that.
