I've let my subscription lapse, but had _exactly_ the same experience.
The back of the magazine was always in pieces.
I too find the articles juvenile and amatuerish. Not to mention the poor
editing and production errors. Guess I was spoiled by 20 years of Road &
Track.
I wrote to ec once. After several months, I finally found most of my
letter cut-and-pasted into a letter submitted by someone else. They
obviously have a rather loose idea of journalistic integrity.
No renewal from me. I might, just _might_ buy the latest issue. Then
again I may have a seat in Barnes & Noble and spend my money on a cup of
Starbucks instead...
