Re: Need help with stereo installation in 86 5kcst
This thread got me thinking that it might be nice to have a CD in my
car. To better understand the configuration I have I took a look at
my Bentley manual but all I could find was the System Layout for a
1984 5000S on page 91.109. Should this also cover other models, e.g.,
my '87 5kcstq? Surely my car has numerous speakers not drawn on this
figure. The rear amp you refer to, is that the Duo Sound unit or is
there another amp that is not depicted in this figure? Please
elaborate?
What is the power rating of the standard radio/cassette? What is the
rating of the rear amp? Do you believe that your rear amp, had it
been functional, would have given you superiour sound than the Blau
Denver? When you say 135 watts, how is that figured? Don't tell me
that this is the per channel power output.
