I was skeptical, but I agree with you! My dad recently got a BMW 740i Sport
with the HID's and they kick ass! Wow! It's amazing how well you can see
and how well you can see colors and shapes. The GS4 lights are awsome as
well!
Way I understand it is that it is not a blue light it emits. It is a gas
discharge and just burns a purer white, closer to blue on the light
spectrum. Our halogens look yellowish or off-white in comparison. By using
a more pure white beam you get a more accurate light souce and get less
deception and more day-like colors. This is thier benefit.
ONE THING I HATE!!!! Those idiot people who buy those "blue colored" lights
for about $4 and put them in thier piece of crap cars to make them look like
they are HID's. Doesn't fool anyone for a minute. Those things are so
rediculously dim and unsafe....HID's are very bright. Big difference. The
blue lights, I believe are illegal as they only reflect the blue part of the
color spectrum, thus significantly lowering your night vision!
