That is VERY HIGH indeed! I priced around here in the Minneapolis area with
some local "Foreign" shops and I ended up paying about $400 which I thought
was more or less reasonable for the car. Keep checking, sorry I can help you
in the Seattle area, but there has got to be a better price somewhere out
there.

Hi all,

My V8 just reached the 120k mark so it is time for the belt change.  Any 
recommendations for the Seattle, WA area?  I'm hoping to find a competent 
mechanic that will charge less than a fortune for the job.  Have any of you 
had your timing belt changed by someplace in the North West that you would 
recommend?
Any suggestions would be appreciated as the current quote of $1100 from the 
dealer seems VERY high.
